The 2014 FIFA World Cup is less than a year away and this time it’s in the home of Football Artistry – Brazil!
There are 32 teams taking part across 12 venues and the final draw which determines which team plays where will take place only on December 6, 2013.
Tickets open towards the 3rd week of this month and it is time to plan your trip if you are a football fanatic.
You also need to consider what to do between matches. In Rio you have the Christ the Redeemer Statue, Sugar Loaf mountain and the bars and beaches of Copacabana. For a change though, try a trip to Buzios, Paraty or Petropolis. Sao Paulo attractive for culture vultures with the Museum of Art housing arguably the best collection in Latin America.
The more adventurous travellers can try the Iguazu falls on the border with Argentina and the densely forested Itaimbezinho canyons in Rio Grande do Sul.
